Annual Model Contest

Our 2012 winner was John Haskell, who won all categories of the contest, taking home $350!

Our annual aircraft modeling contest is open to the first 50 applicants who submit an entry. These entries are displayed at the Miramar Air Show each year and voted on by passersby.

Entry Rules

Each modeler must build two models of 1/72nd scale only:

One fixed wing (airplane)
One rotary wing (helicopter)
The models are to be built in Marine Corps markings: Pre-WW2. WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Shield/Storm.
Application Deadline: Sept 30
Modelers are responsible for transporting models to and from Air Show Chalet
All winning models are put on display for an entire year after selected
