LAUREN HUFF is the 2016 recipient of the Irene Ferguson Marine Wife Recognition Award. Lauren’s dedication to the Corps, her community, and her family is unwavering. She is a true leader among her peers, a mentor and a friend to all.
Throughout her tenure as a Marine Wife with HMLA-267 “Stingers,” Lauren has established herself as a vital member of the Unit’s Personnel and Family Readiness Programs, supporting the unit in any capacity necessary. She also tapped into her proven leadership skills as a dynamic volunteer with the Officer’s Spouse Club. Lauren is also an essential contributor within her church community, continuously offering her guidance and support to young families in their faith development. All while raising three young children and championing her husband and his Marine Corps career.
Lauren employs her leadership skills, compassion, and vast talents at all times for the betterment of those around her. Lauren’s selfless, giving heart is represented in everything she does.
The Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation salutes Lauren Huff for the resiliency, strength and dedication she embodies on a daily basis. She is a credit to her family, her community and the Marine Corps.
