The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum Research Center is a non-lending resource available to the public.The Center welcomes researchers as well as research inquiries.

The museum’s staff will provide answers to research questions about USMC aviation as their duties allow.

USMC Aviation History Research Center and Assistance

Accessing the Research Center :

The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum is proud to host scholarly researchers at its Research Center . The Research Center consists of more than 1,000 books, thousands of photographs, and additional materials related to Marine Corps aviation and its history.

The USMC Aviation Research Center at the Flying Leatherneck Museum does not lend out materials.  It is available to the public by appointment.  Please call the museum’s archivist, Linda Apodaca, at 858-577-4026 to make an appointment to visit the Research Center.

Submitting a Research Request: 

The staff of the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum has in-depth knowledge of USMC aviation history and an extensive network of sources.
